Some of the best places to visit through postcards from the world
Doha – Qatar
Qatar, is a captivating blend of traditional heritage and modern luxury. Doha is probably one of the places that will ruin your stereotype of a desert, Arab city. The blue sky is not that common there but when it happens, it beautifully paints a picture above the West Bay.
I have lived in Qatar for a few years now. There is always something new built or opened. From trendy restaurants, so unusual architecture, Qatar is like a playground for taking beautiful pictures.

Chiang Rai – Thailand
Book your flight to Thailand with Skyscanner.
The city’s most famous landmark, the White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) is probably one of the most Instagrammable places you can travel to. Seeing it, in reality, is no less incredible (if not more) from what pictures show. Other notable attractions include the Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten) and the Black House (Baan Dam Museum), each offering unique artistic expressions. Surrounded by mountains and rice fields, Chiang Rai is a lovely, tranquil escape with opportunities for exploring local hill tribes, enjoying authentic Thai cuisine, and experiencing the rich heritage of the Lanna Kingdom. I visited the city on a one-day tour from Chaing Mai, but it might be a good idea to stay there overnight.

Stepantsminda- Georgia
The town of Stepantsminda itself is rather disappointing, but it’s the residential place you go there for. For the beauty and breathtaking experience, prepare yourself for some early mornings and hikes to this little church up the hill (and there more than one in the area). We stayed overnight in this hotel (which, by the way, was incredible), so we could wake up to beautiful views and walk around before tours come.
Georgia is best to be discovered by car. It is quite easy to rent a car there and drive. This will allow you to have frequent stops in some beautiful spots and reach to amazing corners of the country.

Turkey – Istanbul
Istanbul, the vibrant metropolis straddling Europe and Asia. The chances are that you have seen this image many times on social media as the Blue Mosque is one of the most popular sights in Istanbul (but go there before 8 am). I quite enjoyed Istanbul and I hope to go back there.

Indonesia – Flores Island
I really enjoyed my short time in Flores island, which I mainly visited on my way to Komodo. Flores is really underestimated and in hard competition with Bali but if you have a chance, dedicate some time to this less-touristy heaven.

Oman – Nizwa
Oman is really loved by the people living in the Middle East. They call it green land due to its wadis (oasis) and summer rains that turn the south of the country green. There is so much to see and do in Oman from watching dolphins to diving to sleeping in the desert.
Nizwa is a charming fort town, where you can visit a beautiful market, eat great food and observe the locals (plus it offers the most lovely sunsets).
Oman is a great place for a road trip: it is safe and easy. You can rent a car here.

Peru – Machu Picchu
One of the 7 wonders, Machu Picchu is a dream and a total bucket list destination. If I could, I would go back there again and again. Machu Picchu, the ancient Incan citadel high in the Andes Mountains of Peru, is a marvel of engineering and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Even though it has been quite commercialized and it is very touristic, it is one of the most breathtaking places I have ever visited.

Indonesia – Komodo
On the way to see little brothers of dinosaurs, Komodo dragons, you stop at the most amazing pink beaches, hike to see beauty from the top and swim in the clearest turquoise waters. Definitely a place to be. Komodo Island, part of Indonesia’s Lesser Sunda Islands, is renowned for its population of Komodo dragons, the world’s largest lizards. This UNESCO World Heritage site offers a unique adventure.

Indonesia – Bali
Slightly overcrowded and commercialized for my taste, nonetheless its charm is still undeniable. Bali, Indonesia’s iconic island paradise, captivates travelers with its lush landscapes, vibrant culture, and stunning beaches. Known for its terraced rice paddies, volcanic mountains, and serene temples like Uluwatu and Tanah Lot, Bali offers a diverse range of experiences. Visitors can surf the waves in Kuta, unwind in the luxurious spas of Seminyak, or explore the artistic heart of Ubud. The island’s warm hospitality, rich traditions, and vibrant nightlife create a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, making Bali a must-visit destination for any travel enthusiast.
Top things to do:
- Book one day comprehensive tour (this one has over 9 thousand 5-star reviews)
- Book Nusa Penida one day tour

Baalbek – Lebanon
One of my favourite countries to date. With a mix of cultures, diverse landscapes and interesting history, Lebanon let me have an incredible trip and make memories I will cherish forever. And if you are up for a party, Beirut is the place.
Baalbek, located in Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley, is home to one of the most impressive archaeological sites in the Middle East. This ancient city, once known as Heliopolis, boasts remarkably well-preserved Roman ruins, including the colossal Temple of Jupiter and the elegant Temple of Bacchus. Visitors are awed by the grandeur of the massive stone structures, intricate carvings, and towering columns that reflect the architectural prowess of the Romans. Baalbek’s blend of historical significance and monumental beauty offers a captivating glimpse into the past, making it a must-visit destination for history buffs and travelers alike.

United Arab Emirates – Abu Dhabi
You surely know this place, but it’s so pretty that it never gets boring. Hopefully, you enjoy this image from Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. It is a city of striking contrasts and modern luxury. Known for its stunning skyline, the city boasts architectural marvels like the opulent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the futuristic Etihad Towers. Visitors can explore cultural attractions such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi, relax on pristine beaches, or enjoy thrilling desert safaris. The city’s vibrant mix of tradition and innovation, combined with its world-class shopping, dining, and entertainment, makes Abu Dhabi a dynamic and captivating destination for travelers seeking both luxury and adventure.

Oysters and champagne with a view of the iconic opera house while a cool, fresh breeze adds a romantic touch. Only Sydney has the skill to stop the time in the middle of a city.

Chile – Atacama
I lived in the Atacama desert for nearly three years. This giant hand sculpture by Mario Irrazabal is definitely a place to be put on your list but there is so much more. If you can, make it a two-week-long trip as there are so many amazing places to visit with out of this world landscapes. Since I lived there for a long time, I had a chance to explore the region so much and have written many posts about it, so feel free to browse through.
Atacama is good to explore by car as there are limits to the public transportation. Choose a sturdy, preferably 4×4 car if you plan on exploring a lot, but if your aim in only San Pedro de Atacama, then joining organized tours might be a better idea.

Turkey – Cappadocia
I don’t really need to convince anyone that Cappadocia is a breathtaking place worth a visit at least once in a lifetime. Flying over this exciting landscape waiting for the sun to rise is one of the most unique travel experiences.

New Zealand
Isn’t that the most famous tree in the world? My whole trip to New Zealand was beyond incredible. I took many photos there and it’s impossible to choose one, but here you have a postcard from Wanaka.

Ecuador- Galapagos
The trip to Galapagos Islands is up to date the most incredible and memorable travel experience I have ever had. This bird is called blue-footed boobie (boobie from bobo in Spanish, which means silly) is one of the funniest animals you can meet: it dances to impress ladies, whistles to entertain their offspring and hunts in water like an arrow.
Top activities in Galapagos:
- Book a tour to Reserva el Chato
- Book a day tour to Pinzón island for snorkeling (I loved it there so much)
- Bike tour (good to spot giant tortoises randomly roaming in their natural habitat)
Indonesia – Java
This picture was taken in Borobudur, one of the places I wanted to visit for a very long time. I must say it was a bit disappointing to enter the temple for sunrise with hundreds (if not thousands) of other people. As much it is unique and breathtaking, the flashes and chatter of the crowd somehow ruined the experience.
France – St. Tropez
If you are Polish, I bet that first thing that comes to my mind when hearing about St. Tropez is the funniest policeman ever, a character of a French movie series. The town is smaller than I imagined and more popular than I first anticipated. Charm equally undeniable.

Denmark
Denmark is an easy place to spend a few days in, have a nice night out, hang out in quirky bars, eat mouthwatering food and learn some history.
Denmark, a Scandinavian gem, is celebrated for its rich history, vibrant culture, and stunning natural landscapes. The capital city, Copenhagen, enchants visitors with its picturesque canals, colorful Nyhavn harbor, and iconic landmarks like the Little Mermaid statue and Tivoli Gardens. Beyond the capital, Denmark offers charming towns like Aarhus and Odense, each steeped in history and tradition. The country’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its cycling culture and green spaces. Monaco
Fancy an overpriced juice for 25$? Go to Monaco. Want to see luxury up close? Go to Monaco. Want a thrill in a casino? Well…go to Monaco.
Monaco, the glamorous principality on the French Riviera, is renowned for its opulence, luxury, and stunning Mediterranean views. This tiny sovereign state is famous for its casinos, particularly the iconic Casino de Monte-Carlo, and its prestigious annual Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Italy – Florence
Ohhh Florence… no words can describe your beauty. Florence, the jewel of Italy’s Tuscany region, is a treasure trove of Renaissance art and architecture. Known for its stunning skyline dominated by the Duomo, Florence offers a rich cultural experience with masterpieces by Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and Botticelli housed in the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia. Stroll through the charming streets to discover historic landmarks like the Ponte Vecchio and the Palazzo Vecchio.
I won’t even try to tell you how charming is this city. Go and see it for yourself.
Top tip: Visit Uffizi museum as early as it opens and book a ‘skip the line’ ticket. It is such a popular attraction that without it, you will spend at least an hour in line.
Also, you will be shocked to see how crowded Florence gets, so if you want to see its charm without thousands of people, go for a walk just after sunrise.

The United Kingdom – London
No introduction nor explanation needed. Trying to convince you that London is beautiful would be a waste of time and effort. No need for that, we all know it is one of the most unique cities in Europe.
The Netherlands – Tilburg
Everyone goes to Amsterdam, I say to explore beyond. There are so many charming cities in The Netherlands that limiting yourself to the capital only would be such disappointment. If you have time, put other Dutch towns on your list.
Sweden – Malmo
It was a sweet weekend trip to this Swedish colorful town. If you love pretty doors and flowery windows, this is your place to go. Malmo is known for its sustainable living and cutting-edge architecture, the city features landmarks like the Turning Torso, a striking twisted skyscraper, and the Öresund Bridge, connecting Malmö to Copenhagen. Stroll through the charming old town of Gamla Väster, with its colorful houses and cobblestone streets, or relax in one of the city’s many green spaces, such as Kungsparken and Pildammsparken.

Cocora Valley – Colombia
Hiking through Cocora Valley is quite an adventure with those tall, skinny palms brushing the sky. They make you feel really small. A few-hour-long hike to the top in humid and changeable weather rewards you with a cup of hot tea and a view of hundreds of hummingbirds coming for a sweet treat.

Chile
Being such a long country, there’s no enough space to share all the landscapes and diversity of Chile. This hidden place in Chiloe at the very end of an island was one of my favourite places in Chile. The best way to see all the most beautiful corners is by car (rent a car here) or joining a tour as the public transportation is not the best.

Argentina – Bariloche
Argentina has millions of places to see that would make your jaws drop. The region of Bariloche with its hundreds of lakes and the best chocolate in the world is definitely worth putting on your travel list.Located in the Patagonia region, this charming town is surrounded by picturesque lakes, snow-capped mountains, and lush forests. Bariloche is a gateway to Nahuel Huapi National Park, offering activities like hiking, skiing, and fishing. The town itself boasts Swiss-style architecture, reflecting its European influences, and is famous for its artisanal chocolate shops.
Argentina – Perito Moreno
One of the most surreal places on Earth. When you start approaching this bright blue glacier, you quickly realize how small you are and how powerful nature is.

Chile- Easter Island
This little island in the middle of the Pacific was always like a distant dream. Being there is a really magical adventure and if you are looking for a place to hear silence, this is the one. It’s one of the most remote places to visit and for me it was a dream come true.

Mindful moments while traveling
Like in every area of our lives, we can make some extra effort to improve the quality of our experiences. One of the tools that I find very useful and rewarding is mindfulness in any aspect, even when traveling. So how can I practice mindfulness on my travels? One of the ways (that is probably one of the most rewarding ways) is talking to locals. This way you don’t only immerse into the culture and daily experience of people, but you learn a lot from them. This is one of my favourite ways to know where to eat, locals always send me to the best restaurants.
