Postcards from the world to help you dream. Find inspiration for your travels after the lockdown.

I wonder what do you bring from your travels? I know that some of you collect mugs or magnets. I’d love to bring a book from every place, but soon I would be buried under things that I won’t be able to take with me later. So photos would be the next best thing you can bring from your travels.

Doha – Qatar

Doha is probably one of the places that will ruin your stereotype of a desert, Arab city. The blue sky is not that common there but when it happens, it beautifully paints a picture above the West Bay.

Chiang Rai – Thailand

This white temple is probably one of the most Instagrammable places you can travel to. Seeing it, in reality, is no less incredible (if not more) from what pictures show.

Stepantsminda-  Georgia

The town of Stepantsminda itself is rather disappointing, but it’s the residential place you go there for. For the beauty and breathtaking experience, prepare yourself for some early mornings and hikes to this little church up the hill (and there more than one in the area).

Turkey – Istanbul

The chances are that you have seen this image many times on social media as the Blue Mosque is one of the most popular sights in Istanbul (but go there before 8 am). I quite enjoyed Istanbul and I hope to go back there.

Indonesia – Flores Island

I really enjoyed my short time in Flores island, which I mainly visited on my way to Komodo. Flores is really underestimated and in hard competition with Bali but if you have a chance, dedicate some time to this less-touristy heaven.

Oman – Nizwa

Nizwa is a charming fort town, where you can visit a beautiful market, eat great food and observe the locals (plus it offers the most lovely sunsets).

Oman

Oman is really loved by the people living in the Middle East. They call it green land due to its wadis (oasis) and summer rains that turn the south of the country green. There is so much to see and do in Oman from watching dolphins to diving to sleeping in the desert.

Peru – Machu Picchu

One of the 7 wonders, Machu Picchu is a dream and a total bucket list destination. Id I could, I would go back there again and again.

Indonesia – Komodo

On the way to see little brothers of dinosaurs, Komodo dragons, you stop at the most amazing pink beaches, hike to see beauty from the top and swim in the clearest turquoise waters. Definitely a place to be.

Flores island, Indonesia

Indonesia – Bali

Slightly overcrowded and commercialised for my taste, nonetheless its charm is still undeniable.

Baalbek – Lebanon

One of my favourite countries to date. With a mix of cultures, diverse landscapes and interesting history, Lebanon let me have an incredible trip and make memories I will cherish forever. And if you are up for a party, Beirut is THE place.

United Arab Emirates – Abu Dhabi

You surely know this place, but it’s so pretty that it never gets boring. Hopefully, you enjoy this image from Abu Dhabi.

Australia – Sydney

Oysters and champagne with a view of the iconic opera house while a cool, fresh breeze adds a romantic touch. Only Sydney has the skill to stop the time in the middle of a city.

Chile – Atacama

I lived in the Atacama desert for nearly three years. This giant hand sculpture by Mario Irrazabal is definitely a place to be put on your list but there is so much more. If you can, make it a two-week-long trip.

Turkey – Cappadocia

I don’t really need to convince anyone that Cappadocia is a breathtaking place worth a visit at least once in a lifetime. Flying over this exciting landscape waiting for the sun to rise is one of the most unique travel experiences.

New Zealand

Isn’t that the most famous tree in the world? My whole trip to New Zealand was beyond incredible. I took many photos there and it’s impossible to choose one, but here you have a postcard from Wanaka.

Ecuador- Galapagos

The trip to Galapagos Islands is up to date the most incredible and memorable travel experience I have ever had. This bird is called blue-footed boobie (boobie from bobo in Spanish, which means silly) is one of the funniest animals you can meet: it dances to impress ladies, whistles to entertain their offspring and hunts in water like an arrow.

Indonesia – Java

This picture was taken in Borobudur, one of the places I wanted to visit for a very long time. I must say it was a bit disappointing to enter the temple for sunrise with hundreds (if not thousands) of other people. As much it is unique and breathtaking, the flashes and chatter of the crowd somehow ruined the experience.

France – St. Tropez

If you are Polish, I bet that first thing that comes to my mind when hearing about St. Tropez is the funniest policeman ever, a character of a Frech movie series. The town is smaller than I imagined and more popular than I first anticipated. Charm equally undeniable.

Italy – Florence

Ohhh Florence… no words can describe your beauty. I won’t even try to tell you how charming is this city. Go and see it for yourself.

The United Kingdom – London

No introduction nor explanation needed. Trying to convince you that London is beautiful would be a waste of time and effort. No need for that, we all know it is one of the most unique cities in Europe.

London, United Kingdom

The Netherlands – Tilburg

Everyone goes to Amsterdam, I say to explore beyond. There are so many charming cities in The Netherlands that limiting yourself to the capital only would be such disappointment. If you have time, put other Dutch towns on your list.

Sweden – Malmo

It was a sweet weekend trip to this Swedish colorful town. If you love pretty doors and flowery windows, this is your place to go.

Poland – Kraków

Kraków is probably the most visited city in Poland by tourists. It has a lovely student vibe, charming cafes, a castle and plenty of things to see. I love returning to Kraków over and over again.

Spain -Madrid

I love many places in Spain, but Madrid gives such a rich experience every time I go. And not to mention the warm hospitality of the people.

Cocora Valley – Colombia

Hiking through Cocora Valley is quite an adventure with those tall, skinny palms brushing the sky. They make you feel really small. A few-hour-long hike to the top in humid and changeable weather rewards you with a cup of hot tea and a view of hundreds of hummingbirds coming for a sweet treat.

Chile

Being such a long country, there’s no enough space to share all the landscapes and diversity of Chile. This hidden place at the very end of an island was one of my favourite places in Chile.

Morocco

I went to Morocco twice, that much I like this African country. I have visited a few deserts in the world, but none impressed me as much as Sahara. Just look at these perfect dunes…

Argentina has millions of places to see that would make your jaws drop. The region of Bariloche with its hundreds of lakes and the best chocolate in the world is definitely worth putting on your travel list.

Bosque de Arrayanes, Argentina

Argentina – Perito Moreno

One of the most surreal places on Earth. When you start approaching this bright blue glacier, you quickly realize how small you are and how powerful nature is.

Chile- Easter Island

This little island in the middle of the Pacific was always like a distant dream. Being there is a really magical adventure and if you are looking for a place to hear silence, this is the one.

Río de Janeiro-Brazil

I spent two weeks in Río with one week being the carnival. I must tell you, this city really transforms into the craziest party you can think of. It has beautiful city beaches, picturesque sites nearby and colourful food.

Mindful moments while traveling

Like in every area of our lives, we can make some extra effort to improve the quality of our experiences. One of the tools that I find very useful and rewarding is mindfulness in any aspect, even when traveling. So how can I practice mindfulness on my travels? One of the ways (that is probably one of the most rewarding ways) is talking to locals. This way you don’t only immerse into the culture and daily experience of people, but you learn a lot from them. This is one of my favourite ways to know where to eat, locals always send me to the best restaurants.
